For the latest edition of our Artist Series, we spoke with Leicester-based tattoo artist Heleena Mistry about heritage, representation, and creating a more welcoming tattoo industry for everyone.
Through her work, Heleena champions the idea that tattooing should be accessible to all, regardless of race, skin tone, size, or gender. Drawing inspiration from her Indian heritage, she uses tattooing as a way to reconnect with culture while helping others feel seen, represented, and comfortable in their own skin.
