Gentle enough to use from day one, straight after tattooing.
Cleanse: Wash your tattoo 2 to 3 times daily with the Foam Cleanser. Pump the foam directly onto your new tattoo, gently work over the area, rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Moisturise: Apply a thin layer of Aftercare Cream 2 to 3 times daily, or whenever your tattoo feels tight or dry. A little goes a long way, your skin needs to breathe.
Continue for 2 to 3 weeks until your tattoo is fully healed, then switch to our Maintenance range to keep it vibrant.

Absolutely amazing products for fresh tattoos. My healing process was problem free and I love that the products are unperfumed and gentle and easy to use. The foam wash helps keep the skin nice and clean without using harsh soaps etc and the aftercare cream keeps the skin super soft. It absorbs well and quickly and leaves no greasy residue. The foam wash was very gentle, non-fragrant, a lovely foamy texture (shake bottle well first), then it becomes creamy ad you gently cleanse your tattoo.
The aftercare cream is plentyful in the tube. It is a nice thick, creamy texture and you don't really need a lot at a time as coverage spreads nicely. And oh, it relieve that healing 4th day scab itch quite a bit! ☺️

I ordered these products and a daily moisturiser I advance of getting my tattoo. I used the daily moisturiser on my sixty seven year old skin to condition the skin on my forearm. I was very sceptical about these products and after seeing them insta as I was looking for something to assist with my healing as I was getting my first tattoo at the age of 43, I took the bullet and bought the duo, along with the AM to PM to use once my tattoo has healed fully, I am now three weeks in and can honestly say I am glad I took a punt to buy them, the scabbing was minimal and not itchy as I thought it was going to be as I had heard all sorts of stories of what could happen during healing. I’ve used the healed skin products for 6 months (Xmas present) but I’m a first time user of the aftercare products.
The foam cleanser felt really nice and soothing on my fresh ink and the moisturiser is again very soothing and moisturises well.
I would definitely use again and I also really like that the healed skin moisturiser as a little SPF protection in.
Been wanting to try Stories & Ink for a while so I bought the aftercare duo to take care of my most recent addition and help keep the blacks black. Love the aftercare foam cleanser & it doesn’t feel drying which is something I’ve experienced with other aftercare soaps / washes. The aftercare cream is really smooth & soothing, not too greasy post application and keeps ghostie nice and hydrated. Looking forward to trying the products for healed tattoos very soon.
This is my second tattoo, but the 1st time I used the aftercare foam cleanser. What a difference it has made. I experienced tightness and the feeling of sunburn for my previous tattoo. This time after using the cleanser I felt immediate soothing and in combination with the aftercare cream, which I did use the 1st time, the healing is going so much better.

What's in the Duo?
Aftercare Foam Cleanser (150ml) and Aftercare Cream (60ml). Together they cover the full first 2 to 3 weeks of healing: cleanser for washing, cream for soothing and barrier support.
Is everything in this bundle fragrance free?
Yes. Both products are fragrance free, vegan and built for compromised skin.
How long will the Duo last?
For a single medium tattoo, the Duo covers the full healing window with some left over. For larger pieces or if you're getting tattooed regularly, you may want a second cream.
What's the daily routine?
Morning: rinse the tattoo with lukewarm water and Foam Cleanser, pat dry, apply a thin layer of Aftercare Cream.
Evening: same. During days 0 to 14 add an extra cream application midday if the skin feels tight. Days 15 to 28 you can drop to once or twice a day until the tattoo has fully flaked and settled.
What do I do once the tattoo has healed?
Move into long-term care. The Tattoo Preservation Pack (Daily Moisturiser, Vibrancy Serum, Highlighting Body Oil) is the recommended next step for keeping ink sharp.
Will it work on touch ups and refreshes?
Yes. Any time the skin is broken (touch ups, cover ups, the first few days after laser), the Duo is the right product. Once the area heals, return to your maintenance routine.
Can I use my normal shower gel instead?
We don't recommend it. Most shower gels contain fragrance and sulfates that will sting and strip a fresh tattoo. The Aftercare Foam Cleanser is formulated to clean without irritating the wound surface.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The formula is hypoallergenic, soap free and free from common irritants. It's been used by customers with eczema, dermatitis and rosacea on tattooed areas, but if you have a serious condition, check with your dermatologist first.
Can I use it on healed skin too?
You can, but for healed tattoos we recommend the Exfoliating Body Wash, which adds gentle AHA exfoliation to keep ink looking sharp.
How long will it take for my tattoo to heal?
Healing times vary between people. Factors that can influence how quickly your tattoo heals include the type of tattooing you’ve had done, the size of tattoo, and potentially its location e.g. if you get a tattoo on an area of constant rubbing like an ankle on a shoe, this may impact healing. A good aftercare routine is another important factor in ensuring your tattoo heals as quickly and healthily as it can.
How long does delivery take?
